It’s Super Bowl Time!

With the Super Bowl being less than a week away, it is time to finalize your Super Bowl Party details!  Even if you weren’t planning on having a party but are still watching the game, follow my tips to make the experience even better.

1.  Learn the basics
It’s okay if you don’t know all of the rules and let’s be honest, with over 108 pages in the NFL rule book, no one knows all of the rules!  The game is definitely much more enjoyable if you know the basics and can follow along so check out the NFL’s “Beginner’s Guide” for a quick lesson.  Following along on Twitter also helps and makes the game even more exciting.

2.  Place a friendly bet
No matter how much or how little you understand the game, or even how much or how little you like Football, there are some prop betting templates that anyone can participate in.  Check out this one from Bleeding Green Nation where some questions include “Will Idina Menzel forget or omit at least 1 word of the official US National Anthem?” and How many times will Gisele Bundchen be shown on TV?”  These types of bets will bring an added level excitement and really require no skill whatsoever.

3.  Decorate
Set the atmosphere with some decorations.  You can check out places like Party City that have some fun football and Super Bowl decor, or check out Etsy for some super cute items like team themed straws!  Even better, you can get creative and make your own decor like a pennant banner (seen above) or a football field party table!

4.  Cook
If you look up “Football Snacks” or “Super Bowl Snacks,” you will find countless ideas for food to serve at your Super Bowl Party (or eat alone!).  A few of my favourites include Taco Dip in a Bread Bowl, Ritz Cheesy Football and for dessert, of course Chocolate Covered Strawberry Footballs!

No matter who you are cheering for this Super Bowl, or how big your party is, I hope you enjoy the day!
