Rock ‘n’ Roll Inspired Shoot on The Wedding Co.
One of our New Year’s Resolutions was to blog more and we couldn’t think of a better post to start 2016 than sharing our Rock ‘n’ Roll styled shoot featured on The Wedding Co. !
We love Rock ‘n’ Roll music and of course love designing weddings that are a bit out of the ordinary. We decided to create this shoot to show that Rock ‘n’ Roll style can be elegant and that there are some amazing ways you can match traditional with edgy. We have been trying to figure out our favourite part of the shoot but it has been extremely difficult because we pretty much love the whole thing! To start off, Michelle from B & M Models had the exact look we were going for; tattoos, blue hair yet still charming and beautiful. Maryellen from covet co perfectly styled Michelle’s hair and makeup for every look in the shoot. We had Michelle wear three different dresses and some beautiful jewelry from Mrs. Bridal Boutique to capture various bridal looks. Our flowers and decor were provided by Covers Couture who did an amazing job creating a flawless bouquet and floral pieces for our harvest table. We loved how the rustic Vineyard Table and Chairs from Detailz Chair Couture paired with the stunning florals and candles from Covers Couture to give a unique, edgy look. The dinnerware provided by Plate Occasions worked perfectly with the tablescape but the hand written lyrics “Love, Love Me Do”, “You Know I Loved You” by The Lettering Studio really gave the table some personality.
The sweet table was styled in collaboration with The Cocoa Cakery who also made all of the confections. The cake was designed to look industrial with the lyrics “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” written on the front. The bar was filled with hand crafted drinks by Fresh Pours with names going along with the Rock ‘n’ Roll theme. The marquee letters from Pulp Function in front of the bar really made the whole look! All of the stationery created by Ferris Wheel Press fit the theme perfectly. We chose the names of Rock ‘n’ Roll legends to be our “bride” and “groom” and went with a dark grey, edgy look and unique cuts for the all of the stationery.
The Factory Lounge was the perfect setting for this styled shoot with a mix of brick walls, chandeliers and an industrial feel. When we asked TJ from K Push Studios to photograph our shoot, we had no doubt he would do an amazing job. We felt that we had a similar style and it fits in perfectly with an elegant Rock ‘n’ Roll theme.
